Applied Intelligence Ventures is a business, process and workforce transformation partner. In this notice we call ourselves AIV, we and us.
The organisation responsible for your data, the data controller in legal terms, is Applied Intelligence Ventures Limited, company number 16886290, registered at Winton House, Stoke Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2RW.

If you fill in the form on this site, we collect your name, your email address, your organisation if you choose to give it, and whatever you write in the message.
We use it for one thing: to reply to you and have the conversation you asked for. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You asked us to get in touch, and replying is what you would reasonably expect.
The form is handled by Netlify, who host this website. Submissions are stored in our Netlify account and sent on to us by email.
If an enquiry does not turn into work, we delete it after 24 months. People often come back to us a year or more later, and keeping the thread means you do not have to explain yourself twice.
If you become a client, your details move into the client record. We keep that for seven years after we last work together, because tax and accounting rules require us to hold business records for six years after the end of the accounting period they relate to.
Lawful basis for the client record: legal obligation for the financial part, legitimate interests for the rest.
We count page views using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other websites and does not build a profile of you. Cloudflare receives your IP address in order to serve the page, uses it to work out an approximate country, and does not retain it against you as an individual.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests. We need to know which pages are useful in order to improve the site.
Netlify also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability.
The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
We do not use cookies. Neither this site nor the AI Readiness Assessment stores anything on your device, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
The assessment at assess.weareaiv.co.uk asks a set of questions about how your organisation uses AI and gives you a benchmark and a report at the end.
To send you that report we collect your name, your email address, your job title and how you heard about us. We also record your answers, which are about your organisation rather than about you personally, though they are linked to your email address so we can send the right report to the right person.
We use this to produce and send your report, and to follow up if you would like to talk it through. We do not add you to a mailing list on the strength of taking the assessment.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You asked for the report, and sending it is what you would expect.
The report is delivered by email using EmailJS, so your details and results pass through their service on the way to you and to us. We keep assessment responses for 24 months, on the same basis as any other enquiry, and then delete them.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. These companies process data on our behalf:
We do not use a CRM, so your enquiry does not get fed into a sales system.
These companies are based outside the UK, so your data may be processed abroad.
Netlify, Cloudflare and Google are each certified under the UK Extension to the EU to US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK government has recognised as providing adequate protection. That is the basis on which those transfers are made.
EmailJS is a Singapore company whose servers are in the United States. That transfer relies on the data processing agreement that forms part of their terms of service.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
The AI Readiness Assessment scores your answers automatically and places your organisation at a maturity level. That score is about the organisation, not about you as a person, and nothing follows from it without a human being involved. It does not decide anything that affects your rights.
Beyond that, we do not make decisions about you by automated means and we do not profile you.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
